Camping at Toowoon Bay

We have hit a new high - a week long camping trip - well not really it was more a case of we were together and it was a golden opportunity to get a lot done.

Well it is all happening we have accomodation booked in Darwin, Cape Leveque and Monkey Mia (okay so nine days booked out of 77 isn't a lot but we are planning to do a lot of free camping in national parks). We had a lot of trouble booking anywhere in Broome though - already booked out for June July and August!!!! So we have decided we are just going to wing it and hope we can get into one of the free camp grounds just north of Broome.

We have also come away with a massive list of stuff we need to buy before we go - everything from a decent vege peeler to a stone guard for the camper trailer - and yes, pretty much everything in between.

Matt very kindly picked up our basket for the top of the camper trailer - so I think we should be good for storage with that and the roof rack on the car - although I am a bit concerned with the weight of the extra spare tyres we are going to have to carry.

We decided tonight to put new AT Tyres on the camper trailer and use the ones that are on it at the moment as the spares - we have been really happy with the BFG's we put on the car so I think we will put those on the camper too.

Next planning dinner is set for 5th Feb and we are all going to bring a meal we have cooked using only what will be available to us while we are away.
