I think today may have been our biggest driving day yet. We left Broome at about 7:30am and headed south. Whenever we discussed where we were headed next the decision was 'south'.
We drove for hours and stopped into Port Hedland for a picnic lunch where the kids had a great time feeding the seagulls the stale bread sandwiches they surprisingly didn't want.
Back in the car we were heading towards Karratha. Unfortunately there were no camping spots at any of the campgrounds so we headed to the overflow camping which was the car park of the golf club which cost a whopping $15. Considering the price we got toilets and hot showers it was pretty good for a one night stay.
We didn't even bother to unhitch because we knew we would be heading out early again tomorrow.
